Business and Privacy
What is Infosec Market Insights' business?
Infosec Market Insights invites thousands of members to answer surveys daily on a wide array of subjects. These surveys aim to collect your opinions about products and services, consumer habits, and various aspects of the world you live in. Your opinions directly impact how companies market, distribute, or advertise new products and services.
Why does Infosec Market Insights ask for personal information such as name and address?
We ask for personal information such as your name, address, gender, birthday, and employment status to better match you with appropriate market research projects. This information is also used for incentive fulfillment to send rewards to the correct recipient. Any additional personal information collected is solely for building and operating a global database of panelists for market research purposes. We provide your survey responses to our clients in anonymized and aggregated form. For more details, please read our Privacy Policy.
Participating in Surveys
What if I have technical difficulties with a survey, and why does this happen?
We conduct a variety of surveys for many clients, some of which are programmed by us and others by our clients. Technical issues can arise due to the diverse operating systems, browsers, internet connections, and hardware used by respondents, which may not always be compatible with a particular survey. Human error can also be a factor. If you encounter a technical problem, try waiting a while and then retrying. If the issue persists, report it to us at our contact page with the Survey ID and a screenshot if possible. We apologize for any inconvenience and will work to resolve the issue.
Why is the survey full when I just received the invitation a short time ago?
Sometimes a survey receives more responses than anticipated, or there might be a delay in email delivery by your service provider. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your participation. More survey opportunities will be available.
What are profile surveys and where can I find them?
Your Profile Surveys can be accessed from the "Account" page under the “Profile Surveys” tab. Profile Surveys help us improve our service by sending you surveys you are more likely to qualify for. They are divided into three categories: profiles you haven't filled in yet, profiles that need updating, and profiles you have already completed. Each completed profile survey earns you 100 points. Remember to update your profiles every six months to earn more points.
How can I participate in surveys on Infosec Market Insights?
Complete your registration and verify your email by clicking the link sent to your inbox. If a survey matches your profile, you will receive an invitation by email or see available surveys in your Survey Centre. Keeping your Profile Surveys up to date increases your chances of receiving relevant survey invitations.
How many points will I earn for my participation?
Points earned per survey vary depending on its length and complexity, generally ranging from 15 to 5000 points. Some special surveys may offer higher incentives.
How long does it take to complete a survey?
Survey length depends on the study, ranging from a few minutes to longer durations.
Will Infosec Market Insights try to sell me something?
No, surveys are not used to sell or promote products, and you will not receive any advertising or promotional materials as a result of joining the Infosec Market Insights community.
Sometimes it seems as though I've answered a lot of questions only to find out I don't qualify for the whole survey. Why?
Some surveys target very specific demographic criteria, which might take several questions to determine. If you don't qualify, your responses are not used in the final research findings. To increase your chances of qualifying, complete all personal profile surveys, earning 100 points each.
Why does it take longer to receive payment for some surveys than for others?
The timing of point crediting varies by survey. Some surveys credit points quickly, while others do so only after the survey closes. You can expect to wait up to six weeks for points to be credited, though we aim to minimize this wait.
Why does Infosec Market Insights ask so many questions in surveys?
Surveys may require detailed demographic information to ensure the integrity of the survey sample and to meet specific criteria set by clients. This process ensures accurate and reliable results.
Why does Infosec Market Insights keep asking the same questions in almost every survey?
Repetitive questions at the beginning of each survey are part of our continuous profiling process to maintain current and accurate member attributes. This ensures that clients receive reliable data for their marketing decisions.
What happens to my answers when I don't qualify for a survey?
If you don't qualify for a survey, your responses are not used in the final research findings and are never transferred to our clients. As incomplete information cannot be used for our client's research, you will not receive points for surveys you do not complete.
Community Content
How can I participate in community content?
Go to the “Community” page. There you can read our blogs, participate in available contests, or join in our forum threads.
What are forums? How do they work?
In our forum tab, you will find various interest groups on general topics like food, books, or entertainment. Click on a topic you are interested in to engage with other members’ posts or create discussion threads of your own.
Do I receive points for posting threads in the Forum section?
We encourage you to post and share content in the community because you want to, not for points. Users will not receive points just for posting content threads in the Forum. Happy posting!
Can I copy an opinion from another member or another source?
This is strictly forbidden. The content of your opinion must be personal and original. Copying opinions from other members or websites is not allowed. Accounts found copying content will be subject to cancellation, and points will be forfeited.
How can I express my appreciation for another member's feedback?
Under each content or comment, you will see a "Thumbs up" option. If you agree with or appreciate the opinion, click "Thumbs up". It's that simple.
Can I choose what emails I receive from Infosec Market Insights in my inbox?
Yes, from your "Account", go to the “Notifications” tab. Here you can select which types of notifications you want to receive via email, including survey invitations. Simply check or uncheck the boxes, then click 'Save' at the bottom to apply your changes. You can modify these settings at any time.
Account & Profile
How can I edit my personal information?
To edit your personal information, log in and go to your "Account" page. Click on the “Profile” tab, select the information you would like to change, and click "UPDATE" to complete the process.
How can I cancel my account?
To cancel your account, log in and go to your “Account” page. Find the “Unsubscribe" tab and follow the instructions. Please note that if you cancel your account, your points will be forfeited, and you will no longer be able to redeem them.

This process is completely automated, and members are contacted via email. All responses are held in aggregate, meaning individual responses are not linked to personally identifiable information. Your information will never be sold or used for advertising purposes. You will not be solicited for any products or services as a result of joining the Infosec Market Insights community.
